Village on Yarn is an experimental baroque pop trio that got its start at the University of Pacific when three music majors joined together to jam. Their music is inspired by artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, the Velvet Underground, and John Mayer. Most of their music is performed acoustic with Nic on guitar, Saki on vocals, and Dave on flugelhorn. Occasionally the members will pick up other instruments as to not let their songwriting be confined by their standard instrumentation. The band has gained popularity at their school and is working on completing their first EP.

The band’s motto is “Just Chill,” and this is reflected in their music.
