There is twilight and moonlight and the first rays of the waxing sun as it breaks over the horizon in the music of Varsovia. There is heartbreak and heartache and yearning and nostalgia for times just recently passed in their songs. They evoke feelings of transcendence and the sublime, with the lingering notion of something that almost grasps eternity.

Varsovia is five men. Cedric Warner Sparkman’s transcendent, sometimes angelic, vocals soar over Slater Ferguson’s and Laurence Adams’ crystalline guitars and the crisp rhythms of Jason Matuskiewicz and Andy Knight. Together they create a dynamic, ranging soundscape.

In its short existence, Varsovia has been extraordinarily productive. It has shared the stage with numerous talented bands and in May 2008 released their debut EP.
