Urban Riot is a Hard Rock/Metal Band. The members are Andy, Jared, and Adam. Former members are Nick, Alex, Steven, Becky, and Kyle The band started with the beginning of 2008-2009 High School year. Urban Riot is a Hard Rock/Metal Band. The members are Andy, Jared, and Adam. Former members are Nick, Alex, Steven, Becky, and Kyle The band started with the beginning of 2008-2009 High School year. Andy and Nick were two new students, and never met before. They were introduced by a friend in one of their classes, and learned that they both were interested in rock music and played instruments. They had a jam session, just messing, and learned a lot about each others playing status. They decided they should start forming a band. Early members were just Nick and Andy. Nick's friend, Steven, joined the band, and they covered Unholy Confessions, by Avenged Sevenfold. However shortly after Steven quit because he couldn't commit to the band. Weeks went by, several jam sessions between Nick and Andy, and still no other members. Then a bassist came along, Alex. He wasn't a very experienced player, and was thrown out after a day. More weeks went by, and then a guitarist from Andy's old band, Eccentricity came, Jared. Jared was an amazing guitarist, and quickly helped start writing songs. They started becoming more serious. A few more weeks went by, and it was winter. A guy that Jared met in his band class, Kyle, took the part of bassist. He showed up with a Squier bass, and that gave the impression that he wasn't very experienced, but he was actually an amazing bass player. He stuck. After Christmas and New Year's, the band got back to writing. They also decided to make Andy the lead singer as well as guitar player. Battle of the bands came up, and Andy decided they should enter. Nick couldn't make it, and the band was on hiatus without a drummer. It was soon a week before the show, and still no drummer. Until the very day of the show, a friend showed up to play. He couldn't really beat the drums like Nick could, but he got the job done. Battle of the bands went well, and Urban Riot got fourth place, pretty good for their first show. After the show, Urban Riot decided for a new singer, because Andy didn't feel too comfortable singing and playing the guitar. So a close friend of Andy came to sing. Despite the fact of being a girl, Becky really ripped those vocals, and the band knew she was right for them. A week or so went by, and Nick kept skipping practices. Because of his family obligations, he couldn't commit to the band like the others. So they all decided it was best for him to leave. So a new drummer, Adam came to join the band. However shortly after receiving a new drummer, their singer Becky decided she didn't want to be in a band anymore, so it was back to Andy as the lead singer, with Jared singing lead on some songs as well. Urban Riot is currently writing more songs and getting ready for upcoming shows.
