The evocative atmosphere which is created by Triphobia’s music is a blend of hard rock and progressive rock. Powered by the soaring vocals of front man Kevin Yapaola, the crunching guitars of David Bellman and Dan Elstien, and the thunderous rhythm section of bassist Derek Sabo and drummer Chris Flannery; the melodic undertones and rhythms, mixed with introspective lyrics make Triphobia's unique music a great addition and new talent on the New Jersey music scene. Despite the band’s youth, their music has a sense of maturity one might expect from a band with a significantly more chronicled history. The continuing evolution of the band has allowed Triphobia to redefine itself while never straying from their rock roots with the goal of creating fresh, new, and original music. Triphobia’s first 5-song EP release was self-titled and made its debut in July 2009. This CD represents only a ‘flavor’ of the band’s total library of songs. In January 2010 EA Games/Realtime Worlds selected Triphobia’s “Let It Go” to be featured in the major video game release of All Points Bulletin, which hit stores globally on June 29, 2010. It was subsequently confirmed that “Let it Go” would make an appearance on the game’s soundtrack, appearing soon after the game’s release. In October 2010, Triphobia was featured in the Fall edition of Wayne Magazine, reaching 30,000 subscribers and projecting the band onto the local music scene as an icon. The band is currently working on the pre-production of an untitled follow up CD due to be released by Architekt Music in April 2011.
