Then in 2007 they elevated above most of state market when the song “I’m Not Locked Down” went into rotation. “I’m Not Locked Down” has had approximately 4000 spins to date and has been in the top two on five stations, reaching number one on WPYO in Orlando. The success of “I’m Not Locked Down” prompted Universal Republic to sign Treal for a single’s deal just for that song, as it climbed to #2 on WLLD (WILD 98.7) in Tampa/St. TREAL and Universal Republic decided not to continue with an album, freeing Treal up to approach their music career and connect with their fans in a way that they find to be most effective. Although better known as a rap group, Treal’s versatile style in their harmonies, melodies and hooks sets them aside from your average rap group. Treal’s musical style is what has been coined as “Hybrid Genre - Buffet Music”. Buffet, meaning that you have a choice of what flavor you would like to taste. With a range from straight crunk, to something you can just vibe to with an R & b sound or to something you can hear on a top 40 radio station on the pop side.
