Transit started in Boston in 2001 with josh barsell and jon curl after months of crafting their sound phil jordan joined transit recorded their first ep as the lines in 2002 the band decided to move to LA at the time transit was having trouble getting the right drummer and second guitar so as frustration set in the lines disbanded in 2003 josh barsell with original guitarist jon curl put transit together and hit the ground running with a full line up and many la shows to follow transit was building a reputation for being a great rock band that was on the rise in the la music scene by 2006 singer josh barsell saw that the band he formed with guitarist jon curl was not working as hard they should be and that compliancy was not a option. so once again transit disbanded in 2008 josh was approached by poison tree records to put out a ep that was the fire that singer josh barsell needed so with songs and guitar in hand josh went back in the studio with producer sean lopez of revolution smile to do a 4 song ep for poison tree records now on his own now josh was the driving force of transit with the ep finished and a nod to sean lopez for a great recoding transit is up and running releasing there ep on poison tree records oct 14th and ready to take on the world with the songs that come from the heart and are for the people
