Todd Carroll sang his first song at seven years old, “I remember it well” he says “Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head by B.J. Thomas”. Todd has always loved music and performing whether it is singing or acting. “Dramatic Arts was the only class in High School I really liked,” he says. At fifteen Todd started singing on a regular basis and fronted his first band as a lead singer in High School and has never looked back. Todd does guest appearances singing with other bands from time to time, it is his ability to cover several vocal genres, his explosive voice, vocal range and theatrical performances that will keep you coming back for more. Todd has been singing most of his life and has fronted several bands in the Vancouver Canada area over the past 10 years. Todd’s most successful band called "Eight Count" became well known in the Vancouver area, but still something was missing. Todd was not satisfied with a great cover band, he wanted to pursue his dream of writing and performing his own music and started recording his first solo Album entitled “It’s My Time” in 2007. The first half of the album was written in Vancouver Canada and then Todd moved to El Paso Texas in 2008, where he currently resides. The last half of the album was written in Texas and produced in Vancouver as he wanted to continue with the producer/musician he was working with in Vancouver. Finally after two years Todd has released his debut album “It’s My Time”. This is a very eclectic album touching on more than one genre, something not usually done in the music industry. Luckily for us Todd funded this project so there was no one to dictate what would be recorded and what would be cut. This album was created from the bottom up instead of from the top down, which unfortunately is the way most music in the industry is being created now. Todd feels this is a wonderful collection of songs and feels very strong about every song on the album, including his interpretation of Bruce Springsteen’s “Cover Me” the only cover song on the album. Todd pours out his inner thoughts and emotions in hopes of touching people through his music and his lyrics.
