Georgia singer/songwriter Thomas Oliver comes straight out of the rich tradition of country music, blending his natural, Southern style with the roots of Merle, George and Hank.

Whether it’s one of his honky-tonk tunes or soulful ballads, Thomas brings a rich, original voice to his songs. There is no imitation here in either his lyrics or voice. That’s why five of the songs off his two CDs have been honored as Best of Country by the Georgia Music Industry Association.

Thomas moved from home-town Atlanta to Tybee Island in late 2009. He’s putting together a new roots band, the Lazarreto Creek Band. Stay tuned.
