Whether rocking renowned venues such as Universal City’s B.B. King’s or jam-packed house parties, The Voodoo Fix has always delivered with smiles on their faces and sweat on their brows. Originally formed as the Whittier College Blues ensemble under the guiding eye of Grammy Award winning flautist Danilo Lozano, the band quickly evolved into The Voodoo Fix. Well-versed fans will detect bluesy traces of John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and Stevie Ray Vaughan along with hints of rock legends like Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead, Ben Harper and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. As is the blues itself, this is a band by the people, for the people. However, as blue as their roots may be, The Voodoo Fix simply cannot be constrained to any one genre of music. The Voodoo Fix is a breath of fresh air blowing through a stale music scene, best delivered through the medium of soulful, energetic, foot-stomping music.
