In 1999 singer songwriter Nickolai Dangeroso began to perform before a live audience in Ottawa, Ontario. Thinking of the content of his lyrics and stage presence he laughingly began calling himself…The Social Icons. Ten years, two albums and plenty of good times later his act has turned into a band and is now worthy of the title “The Social Icons”!

The Canadian based power pop trio is the latest project to rise out of the Ottawa underground. An excitingly fresh sound for the ex-DCR featuring Nickolai Dangeroso on vocals and guitar, Terry O’Reilly’s bass and the ever funkalicious CHUNKK on skins. The multi-talented Mike Dubue is guest starring with his keys and vox. Phil Bova is busy engineering their upcoming release featuring members of the Hilotrons expected to be released in Germany in February and late winter 2009 on The Beautiful Music in Canada.
