The Sepia Tones are a funk jazz band out of Burlington Vermont. Fairly new to the scene, we have been around town. A quintet composed of Samuel Lopez- Bararntes on Keys and Vocals, his brother Aaron Lopez- Barrantes on Guitar and Vocals, Alto Saxophone player Brendan Dempsey, McCrae Hathaway on Bass and Brian Reid on Drums, they have quickly become popular on the University of Vermont's campus and in the greater Burlington area. Playing a mix of genres ranging from blues to straight-ahead jazz, the Sepia Tones have something for everyone to enjoy. As the name implies, we're rooted in a plethora of classic standards.
