Music based on the happenings of life. That is what The Mugees are all about. Formed in the summer of 2007, this band is eager to make their mark in the world of music. This is a task they missioned to do as unsigned artist. With the release of their first single "Cos I Love You" it is clear that they set out to make sure they complete their mission. "Cos I Love You" quickly deemed the band as the new lads on the block. People recognized them for being the next breakthrough band under the Brit Pop Genre. Its to bad their not British. "Cos I Love You" went to realms where music seemed to not go anymore. And that is into the heart of listeners. Craig Black's voice blends to create a hypnotic and emotional sound. Kevin Howard's guitar work brings the song to the level of strong emphasis from beginning to end.
The second single entitled "This Is How the World Is" demonstrates the band's versatile ability. Brandon Hammel's bassline carries the song outside of the comfort box. From the opening guitar work until the ending echo, "This Is How the World Is" proves to be the icing on The Mugees cake.
There is much work still to be donewith these 3 lads. With the upcoming release of their Ep "The Experiment Ep" they hope to capture the attention of many. Capture theur attention to shout out their message. The message being you don't have to run away and hide from pain and fear. You don't have to just suffer from a broken heart. You don't have to be angry about something and then not have your voice heard behind the anger. You don't have to be haunted by suicidal thoughts. There are answers and help in the music will record.
