Best gig I ever had.
John Warren is fortunate to have had the opportunity to
experience living throughout the country, which contributes
to the originality of the heart and soul of his music.
His songs are a genuine reflection of any person’s life in
Anywhere, USA.
The responsibilities of life have shaped his music in a way
that people can hear and relate to instantly. The varied
styles he embraces lend to an individual perspective and
unique performance.
It‘s been thirty-two years since John Warren published to
the public, but he hasn’t been idle. On Friday, June 17th he
released his CD “SunSpot On A Simple Mind” on Briola
Records at The Boston Street Café. The CD features eight
songs with a lyrical quality akin to his poetry thirty-two
years ago but delivered with vocals not unlike Springsteen
and with the best band this side of Asbury Park.
Two and a half years ago while performing locally he
rekindled his relationship with Brian Maes, (of RTZ, Peter
Wolf Band, and the Brian Maes Band) and took the next
step to begin recording his own songs.
Recorded and produced by Brian Maes at Briola Records
the album showcases performances by Brian Maes, Kook
Lawry, Tim Archibald, Tony DiPietro, along with Marybeth
Maes and John Warren.
