The Japanese Mafia are a six piece band hailing from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. The Japanese Mafia are a fusion of classic rock and modern indie. The band are influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Rage Against The Machine, The Music, Primal Scream, The Sunshine Underground and Muse. The Scottish sextet consists of Minx (Vocals), Tiger (Lead Guitar), Ian (Guitar), Jo (Synth/Backing vocals) Steve (Bass) and Calvin (Drums). Recent live shows in Glasgow and at various venues in Ayrshire have drawn enthusiastic responses from audiences and allowed the band to gain a large and energetic travelling support. The Japanese Mafia have recently recorded a three track demo at Stealth Studios, Glasgow. The band’s demo captures all the energy and excitement of the Mafia’s live performances. The three songs: Prince Louis, Colossal High and Never Gonna Happen are already favourites of the band’s popular live set
