With “Bounce Part 2,” The Initiate brings new impact to the genre, spicing up straight-ahead hip-hop with surprising tweaks. The artist’s enthusiasm and passion is infectious. The Initiate started rapping in 2002 A year later he wrote his first song, found a producer and became a hip hop artist. Wanting more for himself and his music in 2006 he started producing. He performed at the 2007 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at The Tacoma Dome but is taking a break from touring to settle in to work on his sophomore album. The future’s plans are big, with designs to kick off his own label and spread his touring as widely as possible.
