The Hudson Branch always felt different then the music that surrounded them. Coming from the midwest they couldn’t help but be drawn to their … (more) folk roots, but in the shadow of the city of Chicago they never could quite escape that larger feeling. Akin to the landscape around them, the discovery of instruments, sounds, and floating melodies brought music that they seem to have just stumbled upon.

In two days The Hudson Branch recorded their first EP at a house studio in Chicago. The sounds of these recordings made things real for them. “There is something that goes past just playing music with us. There is some deeper connection.”

With their full-length album almost finished and a propensity to just keep creating, The Hudson Branch will do what they know… make music.
