Yep. Champions of Breakfast is available on the grown-up part of the internet now. You can find our latest on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com, eMusic and Napster.

WOW how about that. We must specify something though. We really wish we could say it weren’t true, but sorry people. There are TWO other bands out there called The Help. They don’t want your money. They told us so. SO….When browsing the selection, make sure that you are downloading ROCK rather than “Alternative” or something called “Blues”. We’ve only put up Champions of Breakfast so far but there will be plenty more to come!

Here is a link to our page on amazon.com if that is your PREFERRED ONLINE DISTRIBUTION OUTLET:

The Help

This weekend was extremely eventful yet again as we continued our Radio 92.9 ski tour, this time up at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire. We were rolling 9-deep with a crew consisting of The Help, the management (Dio and JD), the girlfriends (Jenna and Alyssa) and the videographer (Phil). We were hoping to somehow top the flipped car story, but all we managed on the trip up was a $200 speeding ticket from a not-so-friendly New Hampshire cop, mostly for the crime of “being young” and “having other young people also in the car.” Also there might have actually been speeding involved. Whoops. But not that fast. Anyway.

We set up in the Paul Bunyan room, which is in the lodge at the bottom of the South Peak of the mountain. Once the music started up, the room got pretty packed pretty fast. The Amstel Light was flowing, vibes were great, and everyone was having an excellent time. We played a two-hour set with 12 originals and covers by Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, POTUSA, Sublime, Harvey Danger, Dispatch, The Flys and Stone Temple Pilots. This show was the unofficial release of our brand new EP, “Champions of Breakfast,” which Jenna and Alyssa walked around and sold with much success, though the girls endured some abuse from drunk creepy old men in the process (sorry ladies). The show was a big hit, capped with an encore of “Thunder & Bison.” Afterwards, we got the opportunity to sign some CDs and connect with some fans before heading out to the condo.

We stayed at Jack O’ Lantern resorts, by far the biggest and nicest condo we’ve stayed at so far – multiple bedrooms with king-sized beds, big common areas with a nice kitchen, this place was great. Unfortunately they had just gotten rain the night before, so the entire outside of the place was COVERED in ice. The overflow parking lot was filled with so much ice and snow that Phil’s car got completely stuck, to the point that all of us together couldn’t push it out. We decided to leave the car, party for a bit, make a big family dinner, and then call AAA to take care of it.

The next day, we woke up and after about 2.5 hours finally managed to get all nine people out of the house. Conditions were perfect. Welll, okay not perfect, but good. There were some ice patches, which Dio found out midway through the afternoon when he was trying out his newest extreme trick (“turning”), wiped out completely, broke his right clavicle and sprained his left wrist. That pretty much ended the snowboarding for the day. We headed back up to the Paul Bunyan room and grabbed a drink once Dio was all patched up, then made the 2.5 hour trek back to the Help House.

Overall we had a great time, even Dio would agree I think. We’re psyched for next week, where we will unveil some new tricks on our home turf at Bill’s Bar, then make our way up to Stratton for our next snow adventure.

Next: Stratton, 3/7.
