Singer/Guitarist Sean Kuhl’s vocals hover semi-sweetly over distorted, dissonant riffs backed by driving, intricate rhythms. The lyrics combine casual storytelling with frustrated cynicism alongside the band’s signature melodic refrains. Jacobi and Scuderi hold down tight rhythmic grooves and think nothing of frequent time signature changes, while Kuhl’s riotous yet precise guitar riffs define the sound of this ambitious rock outfit.
Having uncovered and honed the formula for merging their myriad influences into startlingly badass, wholly original indie rock gems, TGU have turned their attention to providing the same face melting sonics to live audiences throughout the tri-state area.
