The Fire Tonight

The Fire Tonight started on opposite sides of the world – literally. In the early 90’s while lead singer Collin Derrick was writing and recording his first songs on a two-tape-deck boombox in Bejing, China, drummer Stephen Russ and guitarist Jamie Heiting were starting their first band in Columbia, SC.

Derrick and Russ joined forces during college but with the addition of Heiting on guitar the band was able to finally realize their unique blend of genres. The band combines Derrick’s unique vocals and anti-pop writing style, wrapping them in progressive arena power inspired by both the mid-90’s and classic eras of rock.

For every live performance the band travels from three states and four cities including the home of touring bassist Justin Heiting, to give it’s high energy live show.
