The F.I.B.s

We are The F.I.B.s. It is a name. It and we do not stand for anything in particular and our one rule is, “To serve the music”! The band is primarily a 3-piece unit consisting of Jim Fairfield, Paul Pittman and Stan Oparka.

We do original music. Our sound ranges from a heavy, older Sabbath feel to a Robert Frippish interpretation of King Crimson. In short, don’t pigeon hole us into one specific sound or type of rock music.

We are not kids either. We have all been around the block a couple times and are in this project to explore our own sound and songs. We are not egotistical maniacs stuck on own own belief that we are God’s answer to music. In fact, we thoroughly enjoy getting together with others for jam sessions if for no other reason, then to do something different and see where it leads to.
