Recently receiving 2 honorable mentions in BILLBOARD’S 2008 World Song The Apple Bros are a battle-scarred,but furiously creative force in today’s rock. To put it simply they deliver
Weened on everything from classic rock & Stax soul to outlaw country THE APPLE BROS bring back solid songwriting and vintage sounds with a contemporary NYC flavor. Born originally as a two-piece James & Lou (the brothers) keep expanding their sound as well as their members. Recent additions of Clarence Rivette (hailing from Detroit) on acoustic/rhythm gtr and Cas Faulconer (from New Orleans) on bass allow their sets to range from peaceful country sounds of “Who Have I To Blame” to the fighting mad “I Hope Somebody Runs You Over”
Veterans of the long standing NYC rock scene, the brother’s first band Hot Water(signed to Sire Records by Seymour Stein in the late 90’s) released “Hot Water Music”. Recording with some rock & blues greats as Benmont Tench (Tom Petty) & Sonny Landreth they learnd to craft emotional yet powerful songs.
They’ve supported such acts as The Zac Brown Band, Marah, Cat Power, Cheap Trick, Noel Redding, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Flying Nuetrinos, Junior Brown and Question Marc.
Previous releases: ON AN EMPTY STOMACH and NASHVILLE
