I did minimum 500 gigs in 1 decade…prestigious blues stages like "Springin' The Blues Fest" (april 2002) in Jax Beach,FL. (…) www.myspace.com/maltedmilkmusic My "bluesical" vision, understanding & perspectives changed when i began to play in the US, especially the southern part… southern music is my favorite. As a french harp player, i had to see and taste the infinite flavors of american "soul" music (blues, soul, gospel, funk, rock, country, jazz). I realized since my 1st trip in the US (2002) i must spend some times there, like i love to sing in english because my musical culture is american 1st. So… i'm regulary travelling France-USA w/ my main axe to Memphis & the Mississippi Delta…a love story! I've played at Red's in Clarksdale, on the air with "Sunshine" Sonny Payne(KFFA Radio-King Biscuit Time) playing SBWII's song… In contact w/ Blues musicians & singers, young generation (Cedric Burnside), old generation(Super Chikan,Joe Turner)… they bring me everything i need… i'm curious so…let's play the music! > Influenced by so many musicians, composers, writers, arrangers, producers, singers ---- from Blues to Hip Hop like from Lightnin' Hopkins to The Roots and in between G Love & Special Sauce. -Classic Masters : Muddy Waters, James Brown and Stevie Wonder. -Songwriters/Storytellers: Sonny Boy Williamson II, Tom Waits,Peg Leg Sam, Al Green,Lightnin' Hopkins,JB Lenoir,Sister Rosetta Tharpe… -Composers/arrangers: Willie Dixon,Duane Allman, Isaac Hayes,Willie Mitchell,… They are a lot to be significant!! All this combination of acoustic, electric and electronic musicians show me the way for digging my "bluesical" trail! Peg Leg Sam is my Hero it got to be said! Our Music influenced by this whole artistic planet would like to be between the plucks caressing your cheek when you're laying down in your favorite coach…and the hi-energy of some Hot Nites down the Joint! BLUES AND MUSIC give BLUESIC Yes We Can! This tour will go thru London, Belgium,France, Spain? Italy? (european chitlin' circuit!). Ms Nickki is famous at Wild Bill's Juke Joint North Memphis! - 1 EP (06/2008) w/ "Vinz & The Mystery Machine" (FR): original 8-piece soul/funk w/ 1 lead singer, 3 back vocalists, 1 spanish rapper + his samples… (www.myspace.com/vinzandthemysterymachine) Last LP release "In Da Houz"(MS Sax Manu composition) from King Pepper Band (FR) - 09/2008. - "My French Connection" (02/2006) w/ Joe Turner (and his Memphis Blues Caravan) at Mystic Records (UK). He died the 01/31/08… It means a lot of french, european and american tours since 1998 w/ Malted Milk first > minimum 600 gigs.
