In 1994 Thaynno made his debut on the Curaçao music scene with the self-titled album “THAINO”. It was the song “Alma” an original Spanish ballad of his own inspiration that first got him recognition on the island. It became Thaynno’s first Top 40 hit. What gives him his edge is that not only is he a phenomenal vocalist but he also writes and composes most of his melodies. When you add that he’s an exceptional dancer to this already explosive mix, it’s pratically impossible to resist this tornado of energy called Thaynno. In 1995, Thaynno gets his 1st taste of the international stage when he’s invited to perform in the Dominican Republic for the most popular TV shows on the island. He is even awarded “La Medalla del Gordo”, a recognition given by Freddy Beras Goico, the host of the TV show “El Gordo de la Semana”,only to the biggest superstars in latinamerica. It would be a while before the release of his second album “Sueño Eterno” in 1998. Tracks like “Make U Mine” and the R&B cover of Rod Stewart’s “Some guys have all the luck” were a fixture on local radio stations. An even bigger hit was the song “Nos Dos”(You and I) which Thaynno performed in his native language of Papiamentu. The year 1999 was very rough for Thaynno emotionally. His beloved mother and one of the island’s most well known singers, “Vivienne Frans”, passed away. Following in his mother’s footsteps Thaynno decides to go back to his roots and records the album “Amor Semper T’ei”(Love is always there) completely in Papiamentu. September of 2000 marks the release of the album and the song “Mi Stimabu”(I love you), a cover of Cristian Castro’s “Por Amarte Asi”, goes instantly to the ..1 spot on all charts on local radio making Thaynno a bonafide superstar in Curaçao and Bonaire. “Amor Semper T’ei” becomes one of the best selling albums of the year on the island. In 2001 Thaynno makes history by becoming the 1st local artist to unite his voice to that of his deceased mother on the song “M’a Kompronde” (I understand). This was another hit and Thaynno is given two of the most prestigious awards on the island, the “EXA AWARD” as male singer of the year, and the “EDGAR SUPRIANO AWARD” for extraordinary achievement in the local music industry. Even in Venezuela he is awarded both the “CACIQUE DE PLATINO” and “MAR DE PLATA INTERNACIONAL” as most popular singer in Curaçao. September of 2005 marks the release of the much anticipated album "lluvia de Abril". "Slow", a mixture of bachata and reggaeton is the 1st single to be released and debuts at 15 on one of the islands most prestigious Radio station's Top 40 Countdowns. It is soon followed by hits such as "La Niña de Mis Ojos" and "Quedate", also mid-tempo reggaeton traxx with a slight twist that once again prove Thaynno's superstar status on his native island of Curaçao. For the past two years Thaynno has been wanting to go back to his roots and record a brand new album in his native language. Finally, April of 2007 will mark the release of the album " No Ta Nada" (It's Not Nohing), his 1st album in papiamentu in 5 years. The first single "Mentira So" (Only Lies) received great acceptance by the fans and got great reviews by local media. One month after it's release it topped the charts on most radio staitons on the island. The second single "Si bo ke" made it into the Top 20 on the island of Curaçao and in Aruba it was chosen by Magic 95 as the "Hit machine" of the week. In October '07 the HOT Latino TV show "Curaçao Vive" bestows upon Thaynno the "Curaçao Vive" Award as "Solo Artist of the Year". A perfect end to wonderful year. Thaynno is currently working on the re-launch of his spanish album "Lluvia de Abril" for 2008. No doubt, 2008 will also be filled with success for this great artist.
