Terror From The Year 5000 No Trends. Just Rock.

TFY5K is a Rock band. That’s it. They are not into complex song structures or odd time signatures. They like their music to be loud, fast, straight-forward and simple.

Lyrically, the tunes are not meant to be taken too seriously. The band intentionally stays away from politics, religion, or anything else even vaguely important. In fact, if you think you’ve tapped into some sort of message in any of their songs, then you clearly have not had enough to drink and should immediately order another beer.

All the band members have full-time careers (thems all bin to college) and three are married. Two, against all reasonable expectations, have reproduced.

The goal, in so much as one exists, is not to “make it”. They’re out to write a few tunes, play a few shows, drink a few beers, drink a few more beers, and maybe earn a few dollars with which to pay for the aforementioned beers.

They practice when they can, gig when they feel like going through the effort and do most of their best writing from the depths of the occasional alcoholic stupor.

If this completely half-assed approach somehow manages to lead them to fame and fortune. Great! If not, well then…. screw it. Who cares. They’re still having more fun than most people their age have any right to.
