Her influences include such artists as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye, Anita Baker and ofcourse the late legend Michael Jackson. She has fashioned her singing and writing styles around selections from some of these artists as well as explored new sounds and rediscovered classic techniques. Taryn has recently decided to expand her talents into producing her own songs as well. Her upcoming song "A Love Like This" (written, produced, arranged and performed by Taryn) is a step toward classic music and a compliment to today's Pop scene.
