Hi Everyone,
There is a great initiative that I have recently become involved in to help ensure that food reaches those who desperately needs it. A charity called Food Rescue picks up food from restaraunts to donate to shelters and food pantries. The charity has been around less than a year but has already saved over a million dollars in food that would have otherwise gone to waste. They are in over 20 states and growing.
They need volunteers. If you have just one day a month to donate your time, you can contribute by picking up food from one of the restaraunts and dropping it off at a shelter or food pantry. If you have more than one day, then all the better.
They have many locations all across the US so check to see if there is one near you where you can help. Also read more about what they are doing on their website.

Hi All,
Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA lately. I’ve been extremely busy and unable to be on here much. I just wanted to share a bit of the footage from the benefit show from the Breast Cancer Walk Benefit. I hope you enjoy it and when we are done with editing it will be available on DVD and CD.
Peace & Blessings, Tammy
Hi Everybody,
First I want to say thank you to everyone who helped by Phyllis Hyman cover make it to the quarter finals in Covers. Second I want to say sorry I haven’t had much time to be on here lately. Between starting a new job, working on this fundraiser for Breast Cancer and training for the walk I haven’t had much time.
But since this is the week of the fundraiser, I need everyone who has been thinking about coming to the fundraiser or watching the webcast to go to www.artistsunitedforcures.com and make it official. If you can’t come to the show in person you can watch the webcast for only $5. If you are in Chicago and can come the tickets are $50. You get two hour open bar, food, free parking, and a great show. Lastly if you can’t do either, we could still use your support to reach the goal. You can do that by giving a donation in any amount by clicking on the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day widget below. The flyer is also below. The show will be a mix of R&B, Blues, Rock, Spoken Word and Hip-hop. We have a little something for everybody.
Thank you for your support in raising money for this great cause.
Peace & Blessings, Tammy
If you are supporter of every American being entitled to the healthcare we have available without regards to economics, you belong in Artists United For Cures. Please read what we are about by going to www.artistsunitedforcures.com. Look at the map that shows you country’s that do take care of their people by offering universal healthcare. Also look at the ones that are at least attempting. Countries that we condsider less developed than the U.S. have the good sense to know they need to take care of their people. If billions of OUR tax dollars can be spent on war, why not saving people’s lives? Also large sums of money are being poured into Iraq and Afganastan to fund their universal healthcare and guess who is paying for it? That’s right- The United States of America. The government obtains their money from the people. Shouldn’t they also take care of the people? Join the fight!
Also watch our first fundraising event via live webcast for only $5 if you are not in Chicago. If you are in Chicago, please join us.
Tune in July 31st for a live webcast of “Artists United For Cures” concert to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day Walk. I plan to document the walk experience which takes place Aug. 8-10 and put that along with highlights from the show on the Artists United For Cures website shortly after the walk.
