Take The Day is a five piece unit founded around the idea that music should be a means to spread positivity, passion, and love. In 2010, Take The Day came together to create a sound that represents youthfulness and growing up. This ideal is exemplified by their high energy music, accented by positive lyrics about hanging out with friends and falling in love. Take The Day's vocal melodies are heavily influenced by artists that cover the spectrum of "top 40". This includes Cobra Starship, Kesha, and Katy Perry. The band draws instrumentation influence from catchy pop/rock bands such as All Time Low and Blink-182 while combining throbbing bass lines influenced by artists such as Skrillex, AvIcII, and MODESTEP. These elements combine to form a unique blend of energy, aggressiveness, and hooks to keep listeners wanting more. In 2011 the band saw its first year of life and immediately gained a loyal following due to successfully finishing it's first tour in the summer on the "Extreme Tour". 2012 has kicked off an exciting year for Take The Day, as the band was named Alternative Press' best unsigned band in America! During May, the band was featured in the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Since the awards, Take The Day has enjoyed getting airplay for their smash single "Freaks", on Kiss fm. Take The Day has proven to be marketable amongst a demographic of high school/college-aged music lovers in particular. The band draws the most attendees at youth-friendly, all-ages venues (i.e. colleges, youth groups etc.). The band has touring experience and is dedicated towards promoting shows as well as respecting the venues and promoters involved in all performances.
