Biography

Originally formed as an 8th grade band, Spread Eagle Beagle resides in Chicago, IL as a grunge/hardcore/punk band. With original members not coming to practice, the group Scotch was formed with Omar Ortiz on guitar, Nik Vasilic on Bass, Bradley Modjeski on drums. Griffin Koziol was added on Guitar when the band wanted a fuller sound. Everyone switched off on vocals. This is the early days, with songs like "Sittin in a Van," "Late Nite T-Party", "Let's Go Do SOmething Illegal", and "Paranoia" ...

Originally formed as an 8th grade band, Spread Eagle Beagle resides in Chicago, IL as a grunge/hardcore/punk band. With original members not coming to practice, the group Scotch was formed with Omar Ortiz on guitar, Nik Vasilic on Bass, Bradley Modjeski on drums. Griffin Koziol was added on Guitar when the band wanted a fuller sound. Everyone switched off on vocals. This is the early days, with songs like "Sittin in a Van," "Late Nite T-Party", "Let's Go Do SOmething Illegal", and "Paranoia" coming to fruition. However, in a jam session, a fifth member was found in Xavier Gurrola. He took lead guitar, with some riff contributions as well. The group had a name change, changing the name to "Synthetic Bliss". During this time, songs such as "Box of Hate", "Zacho", and "Denial" were written. Also, in October of 2009, the group recorded a demo-ep entitled "Take a Seat". There were five songs on the album, with all members switching instruments on some songs. With 2010 brought numerous home recordings and demos with most members. However, the band changed its name yet again, to "Spread Eagle Beagle". In summer 2010, the band started to streamline its sound, starting off the fall as an evolved punk band.
