Born in Bogota, Colombia, to a pair of die-hard music fans, Sylvie grew up surrounded by all kinds of music. Beatles, Queen, Michael Jackson, and Pink Floyd records blasted throughout her childhood; as she learned Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms pieces on the Piano. In a country that seemed to be falling apart, she grew up blissfully oblivious.
She moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where she explored the Film Scoring and Songwriting fields. She soon discovered that her passion lied somewhere in between. Her music was well received, and she won a few contests, including the 2010 Performer/Songwriter Showcase, and the 2010/2011 Songwriter Competition.
