Her dream is to touch the lives of ALL people regardless of race, gender and age. She writes ALL of her music, which is inspired by life situations, with visual metaphors to create art that audiences can relate to. Being the last of nine children and coming from a family of entertainers, she had no choice but to find a unique way to stand out of the crowd. Being compared to hit- makers such as Eve, MC Lyte and Shawnna P. are considered compliments to Sweetie because she was inspired by them all. However, she refuses to be among the ordinary. Her powerful voice is molded into a sassy but demanding tone that’s guaranteed to catch your attention. If there’s anyone who disagrees they will most definitely be impresses with her creative non profane lyrics. She’s been blessed in plenty of categories involving music. Her professional skills ranging from song writing to spitting lyrics is what gave her the title as “Da ILLest Dame”. She’s been the lyrical ghost behind hundreds of local entertainers from Detroit, Canada, Ohio and Chicago. Sweetie has been on a road to stardom since the age of 8. Performing is her most valued activity as an entertainer. Therefore, there hasn’t been a mic she wouldn’t rock. From 1994 to 1996 she played the starring role in a headliner folk tale play that toured the private and public schools across the mid- west. Due to her remarkable performance, she received overwhelming request to star in other plays. Most of them she declined due to her love for music. In the summer of 2003, Sweetie released her first mix tape named “Da ILLest Dame”. She sold over 500 copies on the streets of Detroit. A copy got into the hand of a producer for the “Rickey Lake Show” and she was asked to compete in a showcase. In August of 2003 Sweetie made her first national debut and ripped the stage. From then on she’s won uncountable battles, talent competitions and developed a huge fan base. To continue to supply the growing supporters, Sweetie released another mix tape in October of 2005. This mix tape titled “Sweetie’s Day” sold over 2000 copies in Detroit and Cincinnati OH. Her hot single Sweetie’s Day hit the air waves in Detroit and she received great support from plenty DJ’s and radio personalities. This phenomenon wont rest until she has accomplished what she strives so hard for. Her music is unbelievable and talent is undeniable. Sweetie “Da ILLest Dame” is truly a hip- hop artist on the rise.
