SUFFER IN TRUTH is a heavy-metal monster the likes of which the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania has not seen! Crushing, biting riffs from Larry Graver form it's arms with which it grasps the listener! Wild, aggressive bass lines by Al Hawk form it's body and spine, giving it it's freakish stature! It travels on powerful legs energized by the insane beats created by Jay Hawk! It's ugly head screams it's anger at the listener with a voice provided by Chad Pitcher! The band has finished it's 3-song demo EP in March, 2009. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Tom Godin, drummer of Absolution. The band is in the midst of an internet blitz in order to get the name of SUFFER IN TRUTH out to the public. SUFFER IN TRUTH was formed in mid-April 2008 when the core members of Modern Chaos took on Chad Pitcher as their vocalist. Modern Chaos had formed in 2001, it's members were Larry Graver, Al Hawk, Jay Hawk and Jason Grim. After quite a bit of time playing various shows and festivals, Larry and the Hawk brothers parted ways with Jason. Modern Chaos had an ad for a vocalist which caught the eye of Chad Pitcher who was coming off a musical hiatus after being in the band Absolution. Modern Chaos felt that they wanted to go in a new direction since Chad added a different sound. The band's name changed to HEAVIER THAN THE SUN when Chad wrote the song of the same name and the title stuck with the members of the band. The band's influences include Pantera, Machine Head, Slipknot, Overkill, Gojira, Sepultura, Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica and Nothingface among others. In the middle of April, 2009 a name change was decided due to "HEAVIER THAN THE SUN" not really representing the music and style of the band. The name was then changed to SUFFER IN TRUTH and was specifically done to correspond with the new 3-song EP. Jay Hawk has been a serious drummer for 16 years. It all started when "I found my uncle's drum sticks and took them home and set up a drum set out of anything I could find and played around with them." He was heavily influenced by Van Halen, Rush and Black Sabbath as a kid. As he got older he found that Metallica and Slayer's style had a hold of him. He credits Dave Lombardo and Neal Peart as his drumming influences. Jay was in bands off and on until the formation of Modern Chaos in 2001. Al Hawk has been a serious musician for 20 years. He actually started out on guitar and is still an accomplished guitarist. He was initially influenced by Eric Clapton and taught himself guitar by trying to copy Clapton. Al, along with Jay and two of their other brothers used to pretend to be "Van Halen" when they were kids He has a wide variety of influences ranging from Hendrix and Marley to Slipknot and Megadeth.. He changed to bass due to need of a bassist for Modern Chaos in 2001. Larry Graver has played guitar for 18 years. He gives Kirk Hammett credit for being an early influence, but a bigger influence rounding out his current playing style is Dimebag. Like the Hawk brothers, Larry had been in various other bands off and on, sometimes with the Hawks, until the official formation of Modern Chaos. You can hear his infulences distinctly through the many tunings he uses when writing. Chad Pitcher been involved with music for 21 years. He started as a drummer, influenced heavily by Lars Ulrich. He was in a band, Mid-Evil, with his brother from 1990 until 2000. In that time he switched to playing bass when they had lost their bassist and knew a drummer. After Mid-Evil disbanded, he joined Time of Need for 4 years as the bassist. He left Time of Need and eventually joined Absolution as their vocalist and stayed with them for 2 years. After needing another break in music, he started getting an urge to play and found the ad from Modern Chaos searching for a vocalist. His vocal influences come from bands such as Pantera, Slipknot, Faith No More and Sevendust. SUFFER IN TRUTH represents brutal, in-your-face anger, aggression and power. Their 3-song demo is just a taste of what they will bring live! The first track, "Shell", is about a person who is a liar, someone that is a fake and hides in the package that is presented to the public. The second track, "Demon Food" is about the end of days that are coming, how we've all ignored the signs and didn't really care because hey, American Idol is coming on!!! The third track, "Learning The Hard Way" is about "teaching" child molesters, pedophiles and child rapists just how wrong they really are. SUFFER IN TRUTH is a raging beast with an endless hunger! It feeds on and gets it's power from the adrenaline and emotion given by it's fans! It is one with it's fans and speaks on their behalf through a deafening, monstrous roar!
