Suckers for Symmetry is the solo project of San Diego based singer-songwriter, Gaku Kelliher, a classically trained pianist and self-taught guitarist, bassist and singer. After having played in various bands in an eclectic assortment of genres, he decided to compile all of his own work and make a cohesive endeavor out of it. And thus, Suckers for Symmetry.
Working with the folk-rock sound he discovered and fell in love with in Santa Cruz, and the help of some friends, Suckers for Symmetry has released its first effort, the self-produced EP, We Make Two. Musically, We Make Two lies somewhere between Mumford and Sons and Neutral Milk Hotel, making extensive use of harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, while its lyrical content is the cumulative narrative of two years of a lifelong pursuit of love and happiness.
With the new EP in hand, Suckers for Symmetry is excited and ready to get its music out to anybody with any interest in music, art, or the story of another human being.
