The journey to the top may require a thousand times more sacrifice than remaining at the bottom, however the rewards you'll receive far outweigh the price you pay for the trip!
Hi! I've been playing live music for about 23 years. I write all of my own lyrics and for the past 13 years, all of my music too. I play the piano, keyboards cross harmonica and lead vocals, have been in 10 bands over the years fronting all and have done some lengthy solo gigs also. I've lived and played in Myrtle Beach SC., Knoxville TN.and now in Jacksonville FL. I have alot of music recorded but most of it was a rough cut just to get the idea down so I wouldn't forget it,not for listening. I will rerecord alot of it and put it on the site as soon as I can get it copywritten. I did all of the lead vocals, background vocals, harmonica and keyboards on these tracks.
When I write music,to me,it is an outlet that allows me to purge raw emotion and ideas, getting things out in the open, that if kept inside would drive me crazy. I won't perform a song unless I find motivation in the music or lyrics that I can pull emotion or passion from because I want everyone who listens and or watches to feel what I'm feeling. If I'm not feeling anything then noone else will. I'm not a plastic person or a prop and I will have failed if I ever come across that way.
My dream since I was a kid was to be a successful singer songwriter and musician. I've been close a couple of times to "making it" but niether time panned out so I've kept trying. I didn't care at the time, I just wanted to entertain people. In retrospect, moving to Nashville or LA would have increased my chances of success but hind sight.... I would now however with a house, wife and children, have to make enough money to support my half of the finances if I played full time, so the dream seems farther away every year. I am doing local projects at this time but no long term prospects are coming to fruition.
I'm now taking advantage of as much of the new technology that I can to promote my music without spending any more resources chasing down record labels that continue to be indifferent towards any long term talent but all over one hit wonders and shallow fads. Ourstage allows my music exposure I did not have before so I am really stoked at the possibilities. My myspace page is slowly coming together and I'm working on doing some original gigs streaming them live over the internet on synclive.com which is absolutely free to the musicians who use this new resource.
Thanks for all the votes! I'm glad your enjoying the music I have so far, new songs will be added soon. Take care and do it because you love it!-Stu

I add songs to it so check it from time to time.
thanks again Jeff
Thanks for the warm words!
It was hard work, but when it's something I love doing this much, it didn't feel like it at all. I have to say I had some wonderful guidance, and worked with amazing talent.
Have an awesome weekend Stu!!
