STRETFORD END combines a catchy rock/pop sound with an intense live show, undeniable talent and a determined, hardworking attitude. Formed in Summer of 2008 in Berkeley, California by Bay Area natives Alex Millar (lead vocals, guitar), Prentice Daggs (drums) and Montana-born Ryan Walsh (bass, vocals), Stretford End quickly built up a strong local following with their explosively intense live shows and were soon selling out shows in Berkeley and San Francisco. The band’s debut record, “Air-Conditioned Life”, was released in 2009 to much acclaim. A true example of a “do-it-yourself” band, Stretford End wrote, produced, tracked, mixed, and mastered “Air-Conditioned Life” themselves. In March 2009, the band relocated to Hollywood, California and just a few short weeks later, found themselves playing at legendary venues The Roxy, The Viper Room, The Knitting Factory and The Troubadour. They also caught the attention of producer Gus Cryns (The Academy Is, Panic! At The Disco) who helped produce and record their latest EP, “Prelude”, which was released on iTunes Worldwide, Rhapsody, Amazon, Napster and eMusic in May 2010, generating an incredibly positive response for the band as they continue to expand their following. June 2010 has brought the signing with esteemed US Management and Artist Development Company, The Inner Light Agency. Damon Moreno of iLA says “Stretford End is an awesome band. They have unlimited potential and are at the top of their game. I’m proud to be working with them and look forward to the good things to come”.
