Kentucky Rich Bio Stephen Michael Leonard (A.K.A. Kentucky Rich)  is a vocalist and recording artist. He began his musical career performing back-up vocals for a Cincinnati jazz musician in 2001. His profile was later elevated following television appearances on Fox 19 News and radio spots of his performing and interview with KISS 107 FM during the “Cincinnati Idol” singing contest in which he made the final round of the competition in 2002. The contest was sponsored by the Fox Broadcasting Network, Cherry Coke, i-Wireless, Jillian’s of Covington, Ky. and Epic Records of New York City. The contest, an “American Idol” style, judged competition; eliminated potential contestants via internet voting on video submissions and then later, telephone voting until the final 7 contestants were selected. There were a total of almost 600 entries for the contest. In addition, Stephen was also in the final round for male vocalists in WARM 98’s “Radio Idol” singing competition in 2007. In 2008, Stephen was in the final round of a local “Derby Day” competition sponsored by the city of Williamstown, Ky. and also opened for country music artist Ty Herndon the same evening.
