STEAL the SCENERY is a four piece alternative pop band that formed in the fall of 2008, in La Mesa California. Their love for music and songwriting is clearly heard in the lyrics. Influenced by the likes of Elvis, Michael Jackson and Mexican singer Pedro Infante, their music is provocative, "I began entertaining my family as a toddler with a make-shift guitar made of plywood and thick twine" says vocalist and songwriter Bobby. Brothers, Gilbert and Danny, leading rough childhoods, managed to become successes in their own right and bring passion to their performances. Bass player, Joey says "I am now a part of something bigger than myself." STEAL the SCENERY is unique in their own right, appealing to the masses; both young and old. On May 1, 2010, STEAL the SCENERY headlined in San Diego, California at "Petco Park" in front of thousands of fans following the Padres Baseball game. “It’s a great feeling when fans connect with our music”. In June 2010, STEAL the SCENERY played in front of thousands at the San Diego County fair. On August 11, 2010 National Custom Drum Manufacture "SJC" announced STEAL the SCENERY as the winner of their drum contest and endorsed STEAL the SCENERY. We are very active in the community - playing fundraiser concerts that benefit local schools and other community organizations.
