Ah, nothing is more relaxing for The Gypsy Prince than moments and memories in their most natural and purest form. Among his travels he came to see many beasts of different parts of the world, from creatures that fly through the air to those that swim beneath the murky waters. Every time he experienced a new creature, he grew more and more to realize how insignificant his existence was to the rest of the world. He was a prince of The Rocky Forest, but what does that really mean? He began to find a new way of self awareness, recognition, and respect for all things that were not him. The world started to become a wider, brighter, and more enjoyable place to be. It was time to start making his place in that world… in his new and better way of life.

This song that The Gypsy Prince plays represents all those happy moments and memories that he had partaken, from the great people, animals, natural creations, and experiences he experienced in his travels. They also represent all the happy times had and to be had by all who cross his new path. Cheers!

This song is compromised of three different tunes: Brave Sir Robin from Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Black Nag, and Dancing Bear. Black Nag and Dancing Bear were first heard by The Gypsy Prince while listening to, who the prince believes, is the greatest hammered dulcimer player in America, if not the world. This man, Joe Jewell, inspired The Gypsy Prince to take up the dulcimer and make it his instrument of choice. Even with the goofy first song, this whole piece is dedicated to Joe Jewell and Featherstone. Cheers!

All instruments: The Gypsy Prince

The Gypsy Prince encountered many numerous characters and wonders of nature along his path. One notorious group, ORE or RhythMoksha, consisted of a group of musicians/gypsies/minstrels that belonged to the close group of Moqwynne and The Gypsy Prince. These individuals were constantly focusing their energies on the music they created. All improvisational rhythms, this music was the pure creation of the energies present at the moment of the music’s creation. At least once a week, if not more, these individuals would share their music with the world around them at various points of interests among the people, including the royalty which held that royal festival The Gypsy Prince and Moqwynne had attended that one fateful year. Their music touched all that listened, bringing new sounds and melodies not ever heard before.

All based upon percussion and worldly instruments to share cultures and lifestyles, this music is now represented in this song, a representation of the energy passed on by those kind minstrels with warm hearts. Here is the song of the RhythMoksha, the Organic Rhythmic Experience.

This song is an adaptation of the improvisational percussion song, O.R.E., played by The RhythMoksha, a local gypsy band from Huntsville, TX, which played many local venues and brought joy to those who heard their music. And this recording is a collaboration of all “one-take” recordings, all improvisational rhythms joined in harmony together through mixing, just as you would have heard live. A hearty toast to Moqwynne, Shamas, The Hardy, Master Teruhisa, Master Foster, Master Ben Solis, Master Rockbob, Lizards’ in Huntsville, and all others who ever helped with sharing the dream of music and rhythm. The dream continues my friends… Cheers to you all!…

All percussion: The Gypsy Prince

As the prince and Moqwynne traveled through the kingdom of the great festival, they passed many people and creatures from throughout the world. They ate exotic foods and heard many styles of music and song. Bewildered by it all, the prince was becoming weary and tired of all the energy being transferred to him, which had never taken place before. He decided to walk over to the tavern to have himself a glass of mead, a drink he had discovered at the festival. On his way there, he passed a group of people… all focused on one thing unseen… Not being able to see what they were looking at, he decided to keep moving and not pay any unnecessary heed to the crowd’s intent. But it was not the sight that captivated, for the prince suddenly stopped and was trapped as well. The sounds… the music… which was heard from within the crowd filled the prince’s ears, and all other sounds in the world faded away into a muffled silence. Moqwynne kept walking, and suddenly stopped at the notice of the prince’s uncontrolled gaze at what was playing that music. Two gypsies, a man and a woman, were focusing all energy through their bodies and into the instruments those bodies were holding. It was as if light was emanating from those instruments from the pure energy transferred.

Eventually, the prince and Moqwynne became close friends with those gypsies, and a great many adventure unfolded in the future of those linked souls. This song represents that first experience The Gypsy Prince and Moqwynne had with the energy received from those two, as well as the great Moments and Memories that happened afterwards and will happen in future engagements. Cheers to you my friends.

This is a rendition of E Muzeki’s Aroania, a song that touched The Gypsy Prince and one that he wishes to return the favor to… thank you Gypsies…
