SPLIT SOFA Formed in the mid 90’s by Lewie Docksey,Split Sofa started life as a recording side project to channel his creative talents.

As the years have passed,Split Sofa has matured into a small group of talented,like minded musicians who bring their own style & experience into the mix.

The musicians who are in Split Sofa are:

Lewie Docksey – Vocals, Guitar
Joe Nicklin – Lead Guitar
Martin Gilman – Guitar
Gareth Williams – Bass, Vocals
Dave Shipley – Drums

Predominantly still a recording artist,Split Sofa have now taken their music to the stage and have proformed live to many people – none of whom have heard any of their original material before. The responce has been amazing,spurring the band to hurtle headlong into further projects.

Split Sofa is fresh,new & unique;it has developed a new sub-genre with pop and prog that they call Sofa Rock.Influences for the band include: Pink Floyd,Love,The Doors,Caravan,Gong,Kula shaker,The Beatles, & music from the late sixties early seventies prog rock pysch.

The band have just released ‘The 7th Level’ – Seding it out to celebs in the uk and radio internet stations worldwide in the hope of introducing the world to Sofa Rock.
The band have the drive and with a backlog of new songs the band are now working on a new project with a view of a 2009 release.
