Speak Easy Three is an exciting new band from Buffalo, NY. In a combined effort the trio molds a variety of pop-friendly, original songs. Each member makes their contribution. The technical arrangement offered by bassist Andy Reardon, the drive and energy of drummer Mike Ruben, and the creative songwriting of singer and guitarist Clint Manning, all play crucial roles in developing the band’s sound.

Speak Easy Three is new to the music scene but its members are not. Long -time friends, Andy and Clint have been playing together since their days in high school. Their first band, Not Enough, was formed in 2002. It gained them moderate local attention around Western New York; but line-up changes, and eventually college, kept the band grounded. In 2005, Clint went on to form the act Neverknown, while attending SUNY Oneonta for Music Industry. Andy continued playing bass in a variety of cover projects spanning Blues, Classic Rock and Hard Rock.

In May 2009, upon Clint’s return to Buffalo, the duo reunited with big plans and the need for a drummer. By chance, their search led them to Mike Ruben. An established member of the Buffalo music scene, Ruben has played with several local bands since 2003. His charisma, stage presence, and experience makes him a perfect fit for the new trio.

With an ever-growing list of original songs, Speak Easy Three looks to create a fresh variety of captivating, crowd-friendly music. They have started work on their debut album which should see shelves by the start of 2010. For now they’re just following the sound; to wherever it may take them.
