Roozbeh Izadi was born in Tehran in 1984 & raised in a music-interested family. This gave him the chance to enjoy a wide range of music including rock, punk, jazz, classical music & country from an early age. during the mid-90’s he became interested in bands like Radiohead, Portishead & Oasis, like many other rock fans & this interest inspired him to start his own music. Hence at the age of 16, he started learning to play acoustic guitar & writing lyrics on his own & after a few months, he wrote his first song “Time after time”. he also began writing some scores using his computer as a self-taught musician. One year later he met Ahmad (Bass guitar) when he was spending the last year of high school. soon afterward they formed a rock band but they divided as they scattered to different universities. He began studying industrial engineering at a university far from his hometown & at this time he started his serious music career by assembling a very little home studio to develop his songwriting skills. During this period, he spent less time & energy on studies & focused entirely on his Music. (Although he eventually received a degree in engineering) 3 years of individual working on his music made him ready to form a universal alternative band with a new,distinctive & popular sound & that was the beginning of “Spacewalk”. his former music partner, Ahmad, joined him in march 2006 & Spacewalk started their career. They decided to perform some gigs before recording in studio but since playing rock music has been always in direct Contrast with the principles of the government, they were forced to play only a few underground shows & planned to focus on recording. Roozbeh Has written several songs for Spacewalk(Which First Of Them “Maybe Someday” Won The Band’s First International Award.) & he’s still composing some new ones. his music influences include a large variety of bands & individual musicians such as Radiohead, Bjork, Beck, U2, R.E.M, Portishead,Aphex Twin & also contemporary composers like James Horner, Ennio Morricone , John Williams & Jerry Goldsmith.
