Sky Case

Okay guys, I’ve never really been in the real world long enough to be into the whole blogging thing. In fact, I figured people just wrote in these things to feel like people might actually read them. But what the hell, I used to be an xanger.com-er (anyone remember those?) But that was when I viewed what was a “blog” as a “Journal”. Of course, real “journal’s” I always thought were supposed to be private, so I guess when they stopped calling them “journal’s” and upgraded to “blogs” it probably was the appropriate move. And this blog is probably a few years too late, so as to not feel like I have completely been fucked by the internet age, I am now going to move on to what is essentially, now, a blog. So my band, Sky Case, or as my girlfriend calls it, My pseudo band name for a band, that for the most part is a rather changing group of friends and musicians who have mostly consisted of my roommate and producer, Ryan, and my other songwriting buddy, Pete. And the good news…We our headlining a show this tuesday at All Asia in Cambridge, 4/14 at 10 PM. Which is kinda funny considering we are usually just in the studio fucking around with our music, instead of doing what we should be doing, and actually booking and playing our shows. Sky Case was previously known as “The Hold Up” but as people change, bands change, people move to other bands, alliances are made, and we all get moved around on and off for three years before…well, I changed the band name to a project name (band) Sky Case, before we finally all got together to make some coherence of our music. Make sense? Yeah, not to me either. Basically, we are a bunch of fucker-ups who finally got their shit together, and so technically, this tuesday will be our first public show… three years in the making. Now that its coming together…I think it’s gonna be an awesome show. So now that I have showed the blogging world that I can blog I am going to walk around and think about what other things I can blog about. New songs soon.
