Skelp was formed in late September of 1995 by singer/guitarist Dave McEwan and bassist/singer Ted Watts. Higher profile shows include The Black Cat with Supergrass, the last night at the “Old 9:30 club” (unbelievable night), The Metro Cafe with Cyclefly in 2000. At present, the band is recording again in their home studio. Sound: Skelp is song driven, punk rock band with pop sensibilities. The Anglo-American component is part of the band’s charm. Recent converts may compare Skelp to The Jam, The Clash and The Wedding Present or to Husker Du and The Afghan Whigs.
