With the world of Hip Hop being saturated with so many MC’s across the country to the local scene it is an uphill battle moving through the clutter, but there is one that stand above average Sino Da Great. Calvin Marcus Griffin born March 23, 1990, is an American rapper from Chicago, IL he is better known by his stage name Sino. He is among the elite rappers emerging from Chicago’s Hip Hop scene; performing all over the city, and suburbs Sino gains respect from fellow rappers, and fans of all ages and backgrounds. His performances include CHIGROUND.COM, College of Dupage, Club 38, Club Tequila, and many local showcases and parties hosted by the cities hottest DJ's such as DJ Vince Adams. Twista, Common, and Kanye West put Chicago on the Hip Hop map, Sino will continue what they started and keep Chicago on the platform of places to go for the hottest music. “I chose My name because it reflects the double life that I have lived growing up as a child. There is a good and bad side to a Sino, its flashy, bright lights, and money all around but the harsh reality set in if you lose everything you got. I grew up heavily in, and around the drug game but my father (the late Rev. Lou Griffin) kept me in church no matter what I seen. My father, my brother and producer (Lou Remy), and my cousin (Don Drew) were into music, which is the original start for me. When my father passed, that became my motivation. He always told me disappointment and failures are the 2 stepping-stones to success, you step on them and keep rising above, so whatever you do best be the best at it.” Sino was asked does he feel he has to work harder than others he said, “I have to work just as hard as the next man maybe harder because I want to make it in this industry.
