Can you explain about life while growing up? *embarrased face and soon laughs out loud* AHHH, life for me when i was a baby wasn't all the time glamorous, my parents didn't have alot of money, I moved around a lot of places (which i used to hate!) but overall it was quite fun being my my whole entire family especially at christmas!!!! and new years!!! What were you like when you was a baby? (laughs again) I was such a whiner! whenever i didn't get what i want (then quietly and embarrasingly adds) cause of my grandpa mostly, i used to have so many fits with my mum and dad in the stores! it was embarrasing for them!,but i grew out of that quickly, I was very chubby sooo chubby, i was teased alot by the other kids because of my weight calling me such horrible names!, i lost the weight when i was about 8. I wasn't all that popualar among others i was always the girl who didn't "Fit in" with the other group of girls, but i was very well known for my art skills and vocals, I didn't think i was beautiful even when my parents said i was, it didn't matter i was used to being put down so much by others i just stoped believing, though i managed to find confidence and began to care less about what others think, how do you like to describe your music? In your view, what does it mean to be an artist? I like to keep my music very original and special because in my eyes my lyrics need to be something that i experienced and something other people can relate to automaticly. Being an artist means being completely honest, and means being something different, I don't want to be a musician who just stick to one genre and talk about completely non-sense i want to the musician who can create something that not just one type of music people like to listen but all types of people to hear. what does music mean to you? how did you started getting intrested into it? Music for me is something i find very sacred to the soul, I believe that without music, it means being without life. I've always been exposed to A LOT of latin music, like celia cruz, selena, gloria travis, shakira,... cause my grandmother and mother are hyspanic, and so listening to all this of course led me to discover other genre's like hip hop,rock, punk, soul, dance, and from there i gained so much knowledge and interest, that i begain to find my voice. Can you explain about how you started songwrting? Song writing didn't come along when i was 11, I remember having my diary in my hand, going into my parents room and just shyly asking if i could sing it to them, At first i was very nervous and scared about what they might think but after i sung my song they liked it. From then on i continued writing my own songs and have grown even stronger as to what i want to say. how do you get your ideas for your songs? *laugh out loud* hmmm, it comes out in a very unusual way, I start singing the words and after that i rush to anything i can write on and thus the song is born!, or if i'm experienceing alot of stress or emotions about a situation, i just start writing my material and sing it. or if i'm talking with somone and they say something that makes me think "hey that's a really good line" i basicly use that as an example as to right about that conversation, or a strong emotion thats been locked up for awhile. Who are inspirations? God, and my family mostly the've taught me so much about understanding why things are and to always think of the positive instead of negative, and that things happened for a reason, so i pretty much base my life on that also. My musical inspirations are Natasha and daniel bedingfield (says with a smile) I love them!!! the music that they write is completely fantastic!!! the ideas that they have is just incredible, like i would put on either natasha or daniel's music on my zune player while i'm washing the dishes or cleaning, and i would just listen and grove and just think hey i've been through that!!!!!!, i met them not to long ago, they are amazing, they aren't stuck up or mean they are so nice and you could just talk with them about anything! there really great people!, I have also met nikola rachelle, she is very cool and laid back she's fantastic, and just really great to hang with! I love her music cause is soulish and it like poetry with a sweet melody with it. other artist that i find inspiring are Bob marley, I love his music!, it's meaningful and just has a killer beat!, Linkin park, I like their stuff because they use personal experiences that they have gone through and what others gone there and make a master piece! plus chester is really cool to, i've seen them in concert during the projekt revolution tour along with my chemical romance and him but didn't get the chance to met them yet! though i'm still hoping i will!!!. Mary J blidge, She's been through alot and shes a very strong women and i find her inspiration because she's gone from the bottom to the top, her music is just honest i loved it. Aretha Franklin is another one i like her voice is just incredible whenever i hear her sing i get chills!!!, and last is Tina Turner, she has such a unique voice that i don't think any one can copy and like mary j blidge just completely went from the bottom to the top. Is there anything you would like to say to those who want to become singers? To not listen to what the negative people have to say, let it pass, they don't need attention because they feel so bad about themselves! and try to let others down. always keep trying if you fall then get right back up and do it again failure is not to try at all, keep going and going untill you finally get what you want, whether its a gig or a contract. always be prepared for the unexpected, meaning just because you went to one audition doesn't mean you'll get discovered right away. you need to expect it so in that way you won't get discourage. Always listen to advice, don't take it like an offense, the person who is giving you good advice listen to it to make you a better singer, trust me it helps. Have faith, don't get down because you didn't get the audition keep striving and think positive, most record producers like that!. Be yourself, you don't have to change who you are to impress others it will most likely not work.
