Recently, I played at the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, Michigan for the exhibit “Rooted in Tradition”—-Art Quilts from the Rocky mountain Quilt Museum. The exhibition tells the story of three decades of the Art Quilt Movement in America, from the early 1980s through today. Included are quilts from 58 artists, each of whom has a special place in the movement’s history. I, along with Vickie Marshall on clarinet, performed for the opening reception.

Everywhere I go, people are always asking about the results of the Pillsbury Bake-Off!

I was selected as one of the 100 finalists for the 43rd Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest® that was held April 13 – 15 in Dallas, TX. My original recipe, Creamy Smoked Salmon Cups, was chosen from tens of thousands of entries to make me a finalist in the contest. As a finalist, I had the chance to win the one million dollar grand prize and a set of GE Profile stainless-steel kitchen appliances. But alas, the prize went to Carolyn Gurtz, with her Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies. But I had a GREAT time in Dallas, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. My song, “Take Me Home” was voted as the BEST song from The WSVNRadio Hall of Fame, Volume 12! It is included in a “Best Of” compilation CD available from WSVN—woo hoo!
