SHAWNA STEWART (ARTIST BIO) Singer/songwriter Shawna Stewart has taken a large dip in the music industry and is making plenty of awe-inspiring waves. With a sultry voice reminiscent of the female jazz greats of yesteryear, Miss Stewart blends her style with an R&B confidence and sex appeal that commands attention. Knowing the whirlwind environment that is the music industry, Shawna brings an intelligence and focus to her craft. This multi-talented songstress continues to deliver a fresh, new and vibrant sound to music audiences around the world. Shawna is one of few singers selected to be featured on Toronto-based Black Dolphin’s debut Compilation CD and has been hard at work on several projects both in Canada and the U.S. The singer/songwriter has tackled all forms of music ranging from R&B to reggae to gospel to house and has collaborated with some of the most creative and musically gifted artists across the landscape, including Cyborg, Blake Carrington and Toronto-based Black Dolphin Productions. Eager to learn and excited to create, Shawna’s passion and music potential leave everyone she meets wanting more. Rarely is one blessed with both the ability to craft beautiful lyrics and a stunning voice, not to mention a smile that would melt the toughest critic. Shawna Stewart’s growth and maturity as an artist are in continuous motion as she refines her heavenly blessed talents and works with industry partners to be the best that she can be. Summer ’09 saw Shawna rock out and turn heads at the annual media hyped, Poetic Fashion Show in Toronto. She recently completed work on her debut EP album titled, Unscripted Vol. 1, and is hard at work scheduling tour dates across North America. Shawna is without a doubt inspired and determined. What began as a mere interest in ghostwriting has developed into a very promising career that will make listeners fall in love with music all over again!
