Uncle Phatt, Bugzy, Chill and In Tha Mixx are the House o beatZ, Hip-Hop/R&B producers. In 1986, the brothers, Uncle Phatt, Chill and In Tha Mixx, started an independent record label, Mystic Groove Records, and a publishing company, Mystic Groove Tunes (BMI). Tracks were performed and recorded on a Yamaha 4- track cassette recorder with a Yamaha DX-100 synthesizer, a Yamaha RY10 drum machine recorded vocals with a dynamic microphone from Radio Shack. In 2006, House o beatZ now own two project studios consisting of professional keyboard workstations from Korg, Yamaha, Roland and E-MU; recording software, professional studio monitors, and high end condenser microphones along with various pieces of rackmount hardware. After a single was released locally in 1987 in Canton, Ohio, the brothers took some time off to pursue other interests. Since 1997, Uncle Phatt and In Tha Mixx have been producing and achiving beats and tracks separately until 2003. Uncle Phatt produced independently while In Tha Mixx produced and managed local artists with J.V. and K.S. under the Mystic Groove, Inc./Hard Jam Entertainment umbrellas in Akron, Ohio. Bugzy became a member of the House o beatZ production team in 2006. Bugzy is from Port Huron, Michigan. Uncle Phatt and Bugzy are also hip-hop artists in their own right. House o beatZ is a member of the Cleveland Entertainment Coalition. House o beatZ is currently seeking to work with music publishers, hip-hop/R&B recording artists, entertainment companies, major and independent record labels.
