The release of Monica’s platinum certified album “After The Storm” in which Shamora wrote three songs “Hurts The Most”, “Breaks My Heart”, and “I Wrote This Song”, marked an exciting new chapter in Shamora’s career. Her work with some of the industries top producers like: Toby Gad, Jermaine Dupri, Soulshock and Karlin, Darryl Simmons, Stargate, and more has helped sell millions. As if that were not enough, her contributions to the Gospel group Virtue’s album Free, landed her a covenant Dove Award Nomination and further secured her place in history as a talent with limitless boundaries. With a songwriting and production career that was continuing to flourish, Shamora decided to embark on another journey. In 2005 she released her first solo album entitled “How It Feels…” The album, which was released through her own record label, Striker Records, helped establish Shamora as a quadruple threat. An independent venture that landed her performances across the United States, and received unprecedented press reviews proving that there is truly nothing she can not do. The album which spawned the underground ladies heartbreak anthem “Betcha” and triumphant broken relationship ode, “Cry No More”, sparked a new passion in this seasoned talent’s career. Soul Veteran Angie Stone’s new release, The Art of Love and War, contains three Shamora co-written songs. “These Are The Reasons”, the only song on the record not co-written by Ms. Stone, and the standouts “Take Everything In” and “Sometimes”, with the latter reaching number 7 on Billboard’s Urban AC charts, highlighting yet another reign of accomplishments for this unrivaled talent. In an industry with talent overflowing, it is easy to become lost in the shuffle. Yet as a Producer, Songwriter, Arranger, and Artist, Shamora proves that just like so many things, her musical capacity and accomplishments will only get better over time.
