Turn on the radio nowadays, and most rock bands you’ll hear are all studio polish – almost totally forgetting about what made Rock great in the first place. Not Sevendaysin. Led by singer/guitarist/songwriter Rob Morrison, this Canadian band succeeds in honing in on the lost connection between the record and the live show. The band's musical style is heavy groove built on a foundation of intelligent rhythm and layered over with formidable vocals. Sevendaysin has no weak spot. Each element of the band is tight, creative, and entertaining. Musicianship is off the scale. Song craft is absolutely brilliant. The vibe ranges from chilled-out to charged-up, and though the style is yanked from dozens of sonic neighbourhoods there is an unmistakable quality seeped into everything that labels it pure Sevendaysin. Sevendaysin soared to the top of Alberta's rock scene in 2008. Their latest recordings have layered Rob's haunting compositions and arena-ready power chords with an undeniable rhythm that produces body-moving grooves. This quickly emerging three-piece is comprised of very talented musicians from very different backgrounds coming together for a new and exciting sound. Rob Morrison - Vocals and Guitar Rob has been singing his whole life and at age seven his parents finally bought him a guitar and he hasn't set it down since. As the front man of another well-known band Rob has had the opportunity to open for rock legend Billy Idol, and newcomers Theory of a Deadman. Moving out west in 2006, Rob once again had to find the perfect rhythm section to back his strong vocals and talented guitar riffs. His song writing has evolved over the years to produce great storytelling of experiences and emotions that everyone can relate to. Rob's love for entertaining is evident in his aggressive, energetic performances. Andy Tedder - Bass Guitar Andy's style of bass is a blend of a variety of musical backgrounds brought together by a consistent love of the groove. Bringing heavy jazz and funk influence into his rock play he adds yet another pinch of variety in this already far out trio ensemble. Andy has played in various local bands for some time and his biggest influences are Jaco Pastorius, John Entwistle, Geezer Butler, Geddy Lee and Cliff Burton. Gene Fox – Drums Gene comes from a very musical background. As his mother plays violin, acoustic guitar and piano, his uncles had a band performing throughout Southern Alberta, Gene and his two brothers went on to form the band "Transparent Blues Band". Other influences include Carlos Santana, Neil Young, Jeff Beck and various other contemporary artists. As a member of the Blackfeet tribe in Montana and Alberta, Gene has had the opportunity to play professionally with many bands throughout Alberta and the United States. His musical influences, unique cultural background, and professional experience all combine to produce the powerful eclectic rhythm that fuels the creative music of Sevendaysin.
