Well SHD has been making many changes in the past 6 months, we do welcome Joe on guitar and Andy on Drums, both an added benefit to the Band, with thier creative style and easy going approach to music. We have been working on new music and are ready to get back out and about. after 29 shows last summer we are feeling alittle shut in lol…. Welcome Joe

In the ever changing repertoire of music Second Hand Dogs is happy to raise the dog house roof and give a Big Welcome to our new guitar player Joe Harvitt, song writer, harmonica player and all around good guy. Joe Harvitt has been playing guitar for over 20 years. He played all over the western USA while living on the road, and at local venues such as Nelsons Ledges, the Sunshine Daydream festival in Terra Alta West Virginia, Cuyahoga Falls Rockin on the River, the Nolichucky River folk fest in Tennessee, the Funky Bean Farm, Buckeye Lake opening for Sly and the Family Stone, the Riverfront Celtic Festival, several Hippie Fests, Clays Park Rockin Resort and lots of bars and coffeehouses including the House of Blues, Peabodys, the HiFi, the Barking Spider, etc. Bands played with include The Amoebas, New Leaf, MoShambo, arMar, Boldly Going Nowhere, the Flyin’ Jays, John Welton, SoulDream, Idlewild, the Frankenstein Project, Shakedown, and the Pickaholics.

Second Hand Dogs will be hitting the seen with an array of new originals and cover material. Our first show for 2009 will be the Norml Benefit @ The Beachland Tavern 4/20 a show sponsored By Norml and hosted by Quadrophonic Desperation we will be playing with great line up for this show which include Quadrophonic Desperation , Nick Riff and Motter Flynn. There will be a great light show by Strange Trips . This will be an all ages show with a $5.00 cover @ the door. Hope to see you there..
